I promised I'd share some poetry I've written with you. I wrote this in November 2007. I entered it into a poetry contest and it was kicked out for being "inappropriate."
“The Virgin’s Seal”
Blood flows freely
as the curtain opens the serpent
enters.
Defiled, dirty
she waits for it to be
over.
Salty tears on cheeks,
carnal lust on a blood stained
bedsheet.
There will be no
cries of ecstasy
tonight.
Yellowed wallpaper
peeling at the top,
witnesses.
A hundred girls taken
in this cheap motel
before.
A hundred more
as the sign blinks red neon:
vacancy.
